Deepak Paswan - Char Dham Yatra AVB0096259

At my mother’s behest I decided to book a trip to the “Chota” Char Dham pilgrimage of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Rishikesh was the starting point for travelling to the four places and hence we decided to book a day and 2 night stay at Rishikesh to start our journey.

I did all the bookings through the online travel portal of Antilog Vacations. The travel operator was well equipped with multiple pieces of info about the place which gave us crucial leads. Moreover the thing which delighted us the most was that they even appointed a travel guide at our disposal for the entire duration of the trip for our well being.

Travelling by car from Faridabad, we reached Haridwar at around noon and Rishikesh (a further 25 km north) in around an hour. The Hotel Ganga Kinare was popular in the area and the localities helped us locate the exact location. We were directed to our suite, which was around 500 sq ft in area and appeared well cleaned and spacious. As we were going to stay in Rishikesh for a short while, we decided to explore some local sightseeing places instantly.

Upon my father’s insistence the hotel authorities arranged a visit to the famous 125 - year old Kailas Ashram Brahmavidyapeetham, an ashram and institution dedicated to preserve and promote the traditional Vedanta Studies and which had acted as school for people like Swami Vivekananda, Swami Rama Tirtha and Swami Shivananda among others.

The food at the restaurant had a wide variety and the kadhai paneer turned out to our favourite in the course of our stay. We also checked out the private bathing ghat of Ganga Kinare and loved the touch of Ganges without having to bother about the throbbing rush of swarms of fellow dippers. Overall, the super planning and great effort by Antilog Vacations team!
