Abad –Kerala Tour from Abhishek Agrawal

Trip – 10/10

My  trip to this resort was completed with an amazing experience of Abad castle & equally good  package by Antilog Vacations .Cheap rates & arranged tour is always a better proposition & it turned out to be a good experience. Now being a part of community & this mail to share my experience,it feels lot of good to post my experience here

Cooper castle is one of the resorts belonging to the Abad group of hotels & resorts. Cooper castle is located on a small hill & has a grand view of the hill. The resort is located in one of the most private quarters of munnar & hence you can have a completely secluded holiday.  You have some beautiful lakes near by where you can have a boat ride on special request.

The hotel has 3 types of rooms superior, deluxe & suite rooms. The superior rooms have telephones & television provided n the room. All rooms have attached bathrooms. The superior room has a small balcony around 10 – 15 square feet where you can get a good view of the gardens. The door to the balcony is a beautiful glass sliding door.  There is also a small sofa set near the balcony to have tea.

The room is decorated in cream color. The room also has a queen size bed. The room is carpeted. If you personally ask me I think the deluxe room is slightly more congested than the superior room. The deluxe room is divided into two, a sitting area & the bed room. Thus this takes up much of the space. The deluxe rooms are located in the ground floor & thus you have a lot of privacy. The suite rooms are centrally air conditioned, is the only room that has complimentary breakfast. You can also use the swimming pool & health club.  The suite room is pretty spacious in size and should measure around 200 square feet. This room has a little larger balcony that which has a view of the beautiful munnar mountains.

Café royal is the restaurant at Cooper castle. The restaurant is pretty simple in its approach. You get a magnificent view of the valley. The restaurant serves Indian, continental & Chinese food. They have a buffet style menu. Each table has 4 chairs and a pretty clean table cloth. The tables & chairs are made out of plastic.

Kudos to management for keeping the property just in shape & Antilog as usual give their worth most of the times

Total : 10/10 Antilog , 10/10 Abad Copper Castle

Heartland Hotel Cotswold Stay & Tour

From : Saurabh Jain – Rating 8/10 both

Stayed at this hotel in the 2nd week of April this year from AV, primarily speaking about the location of the hotel its located at a distance of 5minutes drive away from CBD and a 20 minutes by walk, our check in process was quite smooth and didn’t consumed much time, we were greeted well by all those smiling and welcoming staff at the check in area. & well assisted by our driver harish from AV

Ø  Our room is very big and spacious and the beds are of king size and very comfortable even so are the pillows, we had a bed room bath room and a lounge area, in lounge there was a very good wide screen television and another small one in bed room, and there was ample space and arrangements in lounge area as well as its décor is impressive, the furniture provided was of very high quality and is very good comfort wise, the only negative with the room is its walls are very thin and we can easily get disturbed from the noises coming out from adjoining rooms, its better having some ear plugs plugged in to get good sleep, other than that every thing is fine

Ø  Staff are very good at their duty, they are always handy when needed one, there service is also very professional
Ø  Food at this hotel is good even though not awesome, there are 2 restaurants at this hotel, the Tudors which is located up stairs and another French one, the décor of the bar and restaurant of Tudors is quite different and attractive even their set menu option is also good

Ø  Swimming pool is maintained well, even though didn’t dared swimming in cold water taking in to constraint the prevailing weather there which is extreme

Ø  The free shuttle service provided by the hotel too Antarctic Centre is worthy
Ø  The connectivity of this hotel to near by restaurants and places is also quite good

Kerala Trip by Antilog & Hotel Arches

Submitted by: PJ

Antilog : 9/10
Just got a link to this Blog, thanks .So here goes my experience .last year on my trip to Kerala. I was supposed to join my friends in Alleppey (they were coming from other places and our ultimate destination was Trivandrum after 5 days where our friend was getting married). So I was alone and decided to stay in Arches hotel for just 1 night as I had to travel the next afternoon to Alleppey. The best part I did was to book the whole tour package. It saved me bucks & made travel hasslefree.I chose Antilog Vacations because of their high trust level & the did played their part. Another thing I am full of praise for is the courteous and hard working customercare ( Punit & Vishal), which do everything possible to make customers delighted and provide good level of service. And the post sales  also help out in all they can by taking care of the customers’ needs like quick response etc etc

.Hotel Arches , Cochin : 8/10
The room was very nice and clean. Though the bathroom fittings etc are old, they are working perfectly and it’s evident that the hotel is working properly on the maintenance. I personally was neither looking for nor desire a very luxurious room so this was actually above my expectations. The breakfast was also not bad. I am a totally breakfast person, especially when it comes to tours and vacations and when I have to go visit out all day after the food. Thus I attach much significance to a good breakfast and thus I would say that the hotel can do slightly better in having more items, and also serving them more innovatively. May be having a buffet system won’t be a bad idea. But otherwise things were fine.
The restaurant on the rooftop was a refreshing change and even the view was good from there. Another very nice thing about this hotel is its excellent location, very much in the center of fort kochi. The fishing nets are very near to this hotel so one can start the tour from there itself. At least I did. A nice place I think if one is looking for a short stay of 1-2 nights.

Antilog – 9/10
I had an opportunity to avail Antilog north east package via sponsors  for few days with my friends. Hotel shanthi palace is located in Darjeeling & a branch at kalimpong, this hotel is close to botanical gardens, chowrasta and raj bhavan. AV has its own vehicle for pick up and drops off from the station and also for sightseeing. The management of the company  offers professional experience and genuine warm hospitality. We were stay at deluxe room  at hotel shanti palace and they provide our room with majestic view of the snow clad mountain range. We stayed in one more hotel bt I cant remember its name
Shanti Palace – 9/10
shanthi palace has 25 rooms. Each room is well furnished and equipped with modern amenities. there are some basic facilities offer in this hotel are running hot and cold water facility, TV in all rooms, laundry services, 24 hours room service, doctors on call etc. one of my friend felt sick. The hotel doctor treated well and he become alright within a day.
The shanthi palace is a grand hotel with lovely common areas and small but comfortable rooms. It’s very close to great shopping and it’s surrounded by restaurants. This palace really looks luxury and the staffs are kind and helpful to us.
The foods they provide in this hotel are awesome and we really enjoyed of eating such a delicious food. All the staffs are keen to help us. The variety of foods is tasteful and fresh. I loved it. I would like to say this was a nice hotel I have never seen.
Overall I and my friends really enjoyed the grand luxury of hotel shanthi palace and we would definitely visit again in future. If you want to treat yourself relax for few days then this is the place you can keep your body and mind relax.

Just hope i am sticking with the format

Love
Syed

Andaman Trip - aNTILOG 10/10 ,pEERLESS - 8/10

From : Maihika Agrawal ( Mumbai Chapter)

Antilog – 10/10

Those who write negative about Antilog are very few in number & I am sure of it .I went with my husband  to Andaman last month. we found the package deal  initially in the website and booked the whole package through Antilog Vacations for the trip.I loved the whole wooden feel of the place, service of the tour  and hotel selection : peerless -this is the only place in port blair with a beach right in front and that a beach that wonderful.
We took the package from Antilog as they hv given us good services earlier fr our Kerala trip earlier  & Andaman is their speciality.Cheap & Nice package by them.It is suggested to book a package as mere hotel bookings and transportation is costly frm a travelers end. Also we dint wanted to travel in a group so it ws a personal & customized plan.

Peerless sarovar Portico – 8/10 , Fortune Bay  island : 7/10
Since my hubby  is very particular about the food, thank god the hotels lived up to my hopes. The buffet breakfast and dinner offered a variety ranging from angrezi to punjabi khaana, with bengali items thrown in. Well cooked and fresh meals which I enjoyed in the dining hall furnished in attractive bamboo, wood and glass.
The disadavantage is that the hotel (peerless)is away from city and it is not easy to get a taxi to go to city. However, Antilog transports people to city centre and one can spend time and return as per their convenience.
Fortune bay island:
The rooms are good but in the mainland India one get that type of room at 2-3 K max. I will recommend the 1st floor sea vie rooms that are much better than ground floor rooms. The upper floor rooms has a better sea view and are well maintained. Also the rooms are in better condition than that in the ground floor. We have the opportunity to stay at both type of rooms.
Altough there is not much hi fi about the place, I loved the ambiance and natural bliss of the resort and of course the humble staff. Don't go if you are expecting a lot of luxury, or 5 star treatment. But Its an excellent place to relax.

Thailand Travel by HariMohan:White Orchid

White Orchid-Bangkok: 5/10

I was in Bangkok for about a week with 3 of my friends and I seriously don’t have much to talk about this hotel. We were happy but still it wsnt the best feeling
1.       If you are looking for luxurious rooms, fancy bath fittings, swimming pool etc. this is not the place to be, the rooms are smelly, old, worn out! The paint on the bathtub is peeling and the hose for the shower head is way too short.
2.       If you are looking for exotic locations nearby, picturesque or similar things, again it isn’t the place. The only place nearby is Chinatown where u will get some good seafood and to shop somewhat, but that is the only thing.
3.       Hotel food is not so good but location is good , who love to eat sea food & also china town is famous for eating.
4.       Talking about the smell and the poor look, it is not only the rooms, the small height of the lobby ceiling, the aww..  foody smell it exhibits, oh noo. It is at mezzanine floor and inconvenient to walk a stair up for check in.
5.       The loud AC’s, sound leaking rooms, poor food, no coffee table or any chairs in the room, I can go on and on and on…
6.       Only thing good about the hotel is the pricing, still it’s too bad for any price, even if the sleep quality was good, it could have been rated as an avg. budget hotel.

Antilog Vacations : 7/10

Cheap rates offered by Antilog Vacations. They r the good  in Thailand sector.I opted for this hotel owing to cheap rates as they initially suggested me another hotel in Bangkok but I stuck onto it owing to rates, ignoring their word. For saving 2000 rupees, my trip(Hotel part) was spoiled.Rest was good , the tour services offered were splendid.
Note :Plz be Beware of Delhi based local companies who offer similar hotels for third class cheap tours and makes u stay here, it can spoil ur mood bigtime.i saw many literally cursing the tour on a group

Antilog Vacations: Good Job

Going down the memory lane , our Andaman trip was one of the best sojourns we have ever had.We stayed in this hotel in last week of January for 3 nights. Our total tour of 6days/5 nights (including Havelock) was beautifully carried out in this hotel.
Our tour operator was Antilog Vacations  & their good services need a mention here.We booked deluxe rooms first & later wanted to switch to the namboori cottage.Despite heavy rush , it was managed at a single phone call. All the tour costed us around 28,000 rupees with super luxury & special treatment.Thts truly cheap and special

Brilliant Hotel : Megapode Nest

Hotel Megapode nest is pretty close to the airport & is located on a little hill. The hotel looks very old in its approach. The buildings seem slightly at a slant. Like olden times with long window and small 20ft balcony’s the hotel transports you to medieval times. The roofs are made with tiles. The rooms are very different in their nature and names. The bamboo cottage true to its name is made out of bamboo; it’s like staying in a bamboo hut. The room rate is around Rs.3500 per night without taxes for walkins. Breakfast is provided. The room rates change with the meal courses. The bamboo cottage stands separately in a small clearing, looks more like a small hut from the outside. The rooms have the view of a garden. The room will be around 150 – 200 square feet with a king size bed. Though it’s out of bamboo electricity connection is provided be careful for unsealed wiring though. The Nambori cottage has a beautiful sea view. The roof is red color tiling & looks amazing like a small little castle. This also is a stand alone room. You have a small private balcony where you can sit with chairs. The balcony should be around 30 sq feet hence it can fit two chairs & U get a good view of the beach. These rooms are priced at Rs.3750 per room per night excluding taxes. The deluxe & standard rooms are located in the hotel itself. They are the cheapest rooms at the hotel. The rooms are around 100 – 200 square feet in size. The price stands at around 2700 per room per night. Most rooms have air conditioner and refrigerator.
