Priya Thakral - Antilog Vacations Kerala Review AVB0098569

I went to Alleppey last month with my family. As the place was new to all of us, I decided to explore the place properly before going and hence somehow came across this resort - The Park located on the Vembanad Lake. The hotel is a boutique property which is located in a very secluded place and is not well promoted and chances are that you may never come across the name of this resort if you are the usual common sort of traveller. I don’t know whether they want to carve out a niche for themselves but the bottom line is that facility wise the hotel is definitely worth a shot.

Firstly the resort is not very far from the airport though you have to negotiate through small roads leading up to the hotel. However once you reach the resort, you are really spoilt for choices, with the tall edifices located on the banks of the charming Vembanad Lake from where one can get wonderful views of the serene water and colourful birds throughout the day. There is also a large central pool with a built in Jacuzzi which really glistens nicely in the twilight and in the dark.

The hotel crew are friendly and pay heed to all the directions meticulously. However the hotel being in a cut off place they are also sometimes tied up with not many choices. This is particularly evident when it came to the food menu which we found somewhat restricted. However the chef knows his job well with the limited resources and was able to create a decent spread with what he had. The Keralese chicken is definitely worth a shot as it is quite different from what we are used to in northern India. The rooms are quiet well maintained and quiet spacious and can easily accommodate extra people if needed. All in all a nice experience with the services of hotel and Antilog Vacations, if you want to be some time off from the busy lifestyle.
