Located in the scenic area in Muri, Rarotonga, Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas has a marked existence. The trip to this hotel was booked by Antilog Vacations and they arranged for other amenities like pickup and drop from the airport.
Try to get a room with a lake view as these are aplenty in the resort and provide beautiful sights. Another advantage is the way the building is located, most rooms usually would be having a holistic view. We got a room in the close proximity of waterfront. It was a corner room and was secluded from the hotel's entry hustle bustle. It offered stunning views over the adjoining lake and mountain ranges. Try to avoid the rooms by the tennis and badminton court as the posterior view is generally blocked by the building located in the north. However if you are ready to shell out some extra bucks the lake view executive rooms are the best bet here as the panorama captured from here was spectacular from these rooms.
We really admired the wonderful staff who were quite competent and helpful. They welcomed us grandly and were an asset to the resort, consequently we tipped them accordingly. Facilities are great both inside the rooms and in the corridor. The breakfast buffet on offer is unbeatable, we can return for this alone. The other meals in the restaurant were distinctly delectable with the sirloin steak being my favourite. The French waitress Roche who catered really well was also a popular favorite.
The hotel as such is only a short drive out of the town centre and all in all, we thought the hotel provided excellent value for money. We would certainly be happy to stay here again on our next visit.
