Rachit Bansal - Antilog Vacations Kerala (Backwaters of Alleppey) Review AVB0096829

I like travelling individually and usually go to hitherto unexplored places and enjoy the adventure and fun of landing in an unexpected place. This is something which has egged me on to visit the most dismal of places sometimes but on the flip side I have also countered some really hidden gems which would have remained otherwise unexplored and untouched.

Green Palace Kerala Resort is one such place where I landed up one fine day on a trip to Kerala with Antilog Vacations services. The backwaters of Alleppey was on my radar for a long time and hence I didn’t think twice before checking into the first place which I found upon talks with some of the locals. The concept of the resort is novel with the hotel being located on a cut off land, sort of an island and thus I needed a boat to reach the mainland.

The main host was Sabu who gave me a good room bordering the backwaters. The room was clean without being flashy and had some basic amenities like AC and running hot water. The windows gave a nice dual view of the backwaters on one side and assorted paddy fields on the other side. The food was ok but they should try to bring about some variations in the menu chart which would help attract more customers in the future.

The hotel was though quite empty and there were not many guests. Don’t know the reason for this particularly - whether it was because of the off season or the fact that they did not like the hotel premises. So, finally speaking from a holistic point of view a so-so hotel with nothing stupendously glamorous but given the serene surroundings and the beauty of the nature don’t know whether you would like spending too much time indoors inside the hotel.
