Now, This was our stay at Alleppey during a long tour to kerala covering all places. I just loved d place. They say morning shows the day and Citrus Backwater Retreat definitely helped start my holidays on a grand note. Our tour operator ‘Antilog Vacations’ ensured we didn’t have to waste any time locating the hotel and were able to plunge ourselves into the festivities right from the onset.
Again fabulous services by our tour operator Antilog Vacations. They r simply d best for kerala and they proved it. Seamless services, low costs & absolutely no hassles. Travel agents shud learn frm them as to hw to retain customers for life.
We (me and my friends) arrived at the Citrus Backwater Hotel in the evening and were exhausted because of our previous travels. However the welcome drink, arranged by the chieftain Mr. Santosh really brought a smile to our faces. It was followed by two cultural groups and a live performance by a musical band. The cultural programme of Kuchippudi was excellent and me and my friends were really excited to witness the performance live and got a grand introduction into the culture of Kerala.
The dinner was served just after the performances and it was simply mind blowing with a mixture of both North Indian and South Indian cuisines. We retreated into our rooms for the night and were fully energised after a good night’s sleep only to be awakened with piping hot bed tea in the morning. The next day we went for the famed houseboat trip on the backwaters and stayed there till the sunset. Lunch was cooked and served on the houseboat by the hotel crew and needless to say was again great. The location of the hotel and the houseboat ride was really well planned.
While returning the next day, the return cab was waiting for us the exact time and again we had no hassles thus ensuring a great Alleppey trip for us. All in all it was a grand experience which I would never forget; so to sum it up Superb hotel, highly hospitable staff, great amenities and something definitely worth trying if you are in Alleppey.
